Grocery list

  • 0 oz Vodka (optional)
  • 5 oz Egg white/or aquafaba (chickpea water)
  • 3-5 Healthy Basil leaves
  • 6- 10 Strawberries cleaned and hulled
  • 1 Cup of water
  • 1 Tablespoon Balsamic
  • 5 oz Fresh Citrus
  • 0 oz Maple or Honey (2-1, hot water to maple or honey)

 

Strawberry puree instructions

 

  1. Add cleaned strawberries to a blender with basil (save one or two leaves for a garnish), water, and balsamic
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Strain through a mesh strainer
  4. Strain a second time through a coffee filter (this is a lengthy process, but you do not want and strawberry seeds, or pieces of basil in the puree)

 

Maple or Honey syrup instructions

 

  1. Add 2.0 oz of hot water to every 1.0 oz of maple or honey
  2. Stir and let cool

 

Strawberry Sour

 

  1. Measure 2.0 oz of Vodka to a shaker tin (if making a cocktail)
  2. Measure 0.5 oz of egg white or chickpea water, and add to your shaker tin
  3. Measure 2.0 oz of your strawberry puree, and add to your shaker tin if you are building a cocktail. 3.0 oz if you are building a mocktail
  4. Measure 0.5 oz of citrus, and add to your shaker tin
  5. Measure 1.0 oz of maple or honey syrup, and add to your shaker tin
  6. Dry shake (no ice) for 20-25 seconds
  7. Add about ¼ cup of ice, and add to your shaker tin
  8. Shake cocktail for an additional 10-15 seconds
  9. Strain the cocktail into a glass and garnish with fresh basil leaves
