Toronto Whiskey Instructions
**PLEASE NOTE THE FRESH MIXES AND GARNISHES ARE DESIGNED TO BE CONSUMED WITHIN 2-3 WEEKS FROM THE DATE RECEIVED**
Please keep all fresh items refrigerated until consumption.
*We have included a small red solo cup to be used as your measure. The line near the bottom is the measure for .5 oz. The cup full is 2 oz. Anytime you are measuring less than 2 oz, we recommend using the measure of .5 oz to the cumulative total required for your drink.
** We recommend opening the packages using scissors if you have them available. Please cut above the reseal line. Once open, if resealing to use some at a later point, we recommend keeping the package upright and sealed until using again.
***We have included a pour spout for use with your Bourbon bottle.
**** This kit is designed to create 2 of each of the cocktails listed below if you have chosen the BFA option, 4 if you have ordered the Social format.
Sazerac
Whiskey, peychaud, sugar, anise
What you will need to build this cocktail
- Whiskey 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
- Anise pouch
- Peychaud bitter cube
- Mixing jar
- Red solo cup measure
- Ice for building
- Bar spoon (wooden skewer)
- 0.5 oz water (not provided)
- Dehydrated lemon wheel
How to build your cocktail
- Add peychaud bitter soaked cube to your mixing jar
- Add about 0.5 oz of water to the mixing jar and set aside, let the water soften the sugar cube
- Measure 0.5 oz from the pouch marked anise and add to your glass of choice
- Roll the syrup in the glass coating as much as you can then fill with ice and set aside
- Using the fat end of the bar spoon (wooden skewer) break up whatever has not of the bitter soaked cube
- Empty the mini bottle, or measure and add 1.5 oz of whiskey to the mixing jar
- Add the ice, and anise syrup from prepared glass to the mixing jar
- Top up with a few fresh cubes
- Stir the cocktail for about 20 seconds
- Replace the cover to your mixing jar, leaving it off just enough to strain the cocktail over ice, into prepared glassware
- Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel
Socially Distant
Whiskey, brandy, salted caramel, lime, egg white
What you will need to build this cocktail
- Whiskey 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
- Salted Caramel - Brandy pouch
- Apple cider pouch
- Egg whites pouch
- Mixing jar
- Red solo cup measure
- Ice for building
- Apple caramel sucker
How to build your cocktail
- Empty the mini bottle, or measure and add 1.5 oz of whiskey to the shaker
- Measure 1.0 oz from the pouch marked apple cider, and add to the shaker jar
- Measure 2.0 oz from the pouch marked Salted Caramel-Brandy, and add to the shaker jar
- Measure 0.5 oz from the pouch marked egg white, and add to the shaker jar
- Replace the lid and cover to the jar tightly
- Dry shake (no ice) all the ingredients as hard as you can for 20 seconds
- Remove the lid and cover and add about ¼ cup of ice
- Replace the lid and cover to the jar
- Shake for an additional 8-10 seconds
- Remove the lid from the jar, and slide the cover off just enough to strain the cocktail into glass of choice
- Garnish with caramel on garnish skewer
Ol Buddy
Whiskey, italian bitters, vermouth
What you will need to build this cocktail
- Whiskey 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
- Bitter-Vermouth pouch
- Mixing jar
- Red solo cup measure
- Ice for building, and serving
- Bar spoon (wooden skewer)
- Orange wheel
How to build your cocktail
- Empty the mini bottle, or measure and add 1.5 oz of whiskey to the mixing jar
- Measure 3.0 oz from the pouch marked bitter-vermouth, and add it to the jar
- Add about ½ cup of ice to the mixing jar
- Using the fat end of the bar spoon (wooden skewer) stir the cocktail for 20 seconds
- Replace the cover to the of jar just enough to strain the cocktail into ice filled glass
- Garnish with a dried orange wheel
Smoked Madeira Manhattan
Whiskey, madeira, bitters, smoke
What you will need to build this cocktail
- Whiskey 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
- Madeira syrup pouch
- Mixing jar
- Red solo cup measure
- Bar spoon (wooden skewer)
- Ice for building, and serving
- Smoke chip
- Small plate (not provided)
- Lighter (not provided)
- Bamboo garnish skewer
- Amarena cherry
How to build this cocktail
- Using your lighter in a well ventilated space in your home, preferable under the fan on your stove, light the wood piece on fire and let burn for as long as you can. Ideally you can get some nice red embers before you blow out.
- Once you blow out the flame place the smoke chip on the small plate, and cover with glassware, trapping the smoke in the glass
- Empty the mini botte, or measure 1.5 oz of the whiskey, and add to the mixing jar
- Measure 2.0 oz from the pouch marked Madeira syrup, and add to the mixing jar
- Using the fat end of the bar spoon, stir the cocktail for 20 seconds
- Flip the smoked glass and fill with ice
- Replace the cover back to the opening of the jar just enough to strain the cocktail into ice filled smoked glass (this cocktail can also be enjoyed straight up)
- Garnish with amarena cherry on a garnish skewer
