SPEAKEASY VOLUME # 2

 

Aviation

Gin, crème de violette, maraschino, lemon

  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1/2-ounce maraschino liqueur 
  • 1/4-ounce crème de violette
  • 1/2-ounce lemon juice
  • Garnish: brandied cherry

What you will need to build this cocktail

  • Pouch marked Aviation
  • Pouch marked lemon
  • Shaker jar
  • Red solo cup measure
  • Ice for building (not included)
  • Bamboo garnish skewer
  • Cherry for garnish

How to build this cocktail

  1. Add pouch marked Aviation to the shaker jar
  2. Measure 0.5 oz from the lemon pouch, and add to the shaker jar
  3. Add about ¼ cup of ice to the shaker jar
  4. Replace the ring and cover to the shaker jar
  5. Shake the cocktail for 10-15 seconds
  6. Remove the ring from the shaker jar, and slide the cover off the jar just enough to strain the cocktail into a coupe, or martini glass
  7. Garnish with the cherry on a garnish skewer

 

 

Boulevardier

Bourbon, sweet vermouth, Italian bitters

 

What you will need to build this cocktail

 

  • Pouch marked Boulevardier
  • Mixing jar
  • Bar spoon (wooden skewer)
  • Ice for building (not included)
  • Ice for serving (not included)
  • Orange zest for garnish

 

How to build this cocktail

 

  1. Add the pouch marked Boulevardier to the mixing jar
  2. Add about ½ cup of ice to the mixing jar
  3. Using the thicker end of the barspoon at the bottom of the mixing jar, stir the cocktail for 20 seconds
  4. Replace the cover to the jar leaving enough space to strain the cocktail into a rocks style glass. This cocktail is best served with a king cube, but on the rocks will also work.
  5. Place the orange zest between your fingers and thumb, squeeze the zest releasing the oils into the drink
  6. Run the orange side of the zest around the rim of the glass and add to the cocktail

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ap’pear’ntly we like Tequila

Tequila, elderflower, dry sherry, pear, lime, egg white

 

 

What you will need to build this cocktail

 

  • Pouch BFA
  • Pouch marked pear
  • Pouch marked lemon
  • Pouch marked egg white
  • Mini clothes pin
  • Pear slice
  • Shaker jar
  • Red solo cup measure
  • Ice for building (not included)

 

How to build this cocktail

 

  1. Add the pouch marked BFA to the shaker jar
  2. Add the pouch marked pear to the shaker jar
  3. Measure 0.5 oz from the pouch marked lemon, and add to the shaker jar
  4. Add the pouch marked egg white to the shaker jar
  5. Replace the ring and cover to the shaker jar
  6. Dry shake all ingredients (no ice) for 20 seconds
  7. Remove the ring and cover from the jar, and add ¼ cup of ice
  8. Replace the ring and cover to the jar
  9. Shake for an additional 10 seconds
  10. Remove the ring and slide the cover off the jar just enough to strain the cocktail into a rocks glass
  11. Clip the pear to the rim of the glass with the mini clothes

 

 

 

S’more Martini

Vodka, crème de cacao, graham, marshmallow, smoke

 

 

What you will need to build this cocktail

 

  • Pouch marked martini
  • Bag of graham cracker
  • 3 Toasted marshmallows
  • Garnish skewer
  • 5 oz water (not included)
  • 2 small plates (not included)
  • Shaker jar
  • Ice for building (not included)

 

How to build this cocktail

 

  1. Add 0.5 oz of water to the first plate
  2. Empty the bag of graham cracker crumble to the second plate
  3. Dip rim of your glass in the water on the first plate, then into the crumble on the second plate
  4. Set prepped glass aside
  5. Add the pouch marked martini to the shaker jar
  6. Add about ¼ cup of ice to the shaker jar
  7. Replace the ring and cover to the jar
  8. Shake for 20 seconds
  9. Remove the ring from the shaker jar, and slide the cover off just enough to strain the cocktail into the prepped glass (do not fill to the top, or you will end up with graham cracker in the drink)
  10. Garnish with toasted marshmallow on garnish skewer, and rest across the top of glass
