Toronto Gin Instructions

**PLEASE NOTE THE FRESH MIXES AND GARNISHES ARE DESIGNED TO BE CONSUMED WITHIN 2-3 WEEKS FROM THE DATE RECEIVED**

Please keep all fresh items refrigerated until consumption.

 

*We have included a small red solo cup to be used as your measure.  The line near the bottom is the measure for .5 oz.  The cup full is 2 oz.  Anytime you are measuring less than 2 oz, we recommend using the measure of .5 oz to the cumulative total required for your drink.

** We recommend opening the packages using scissors if you have them available.  Please cut above the reseal line.  Once open, if resealing to use some at a later point, we recommend keeping the package upright and sealed until using again.

***We have included a pour spout for use with your Bourbon bottle.

**** This kit is designed to create 2 of each of the cocktails listed below if you have chosen the BFA option, 4 if you have ordered the Social format.

Shake or Stir

Gin, vodka, vermouth, lemon

What you will need to build this cocktail

  • Gin 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
  • Lemon Vodka-Vermouth pouch
  • Shaker jar or Mixing jar
  • Bar spoon (if stirring)
  • Red solo cup measure
  • Ice for building 
  • Garnish with a dried lemon wheel
  1. Empty mini bottle, or measure 1.5 oz and add to the shaker jar
  2. Measure 2.5 oz from the pouch marked Lemon Infused Vodka-Vermouth Syrup, and add to the jar
  3. Add ¼ cup of ice to the jar 
  4. Replace the lid and cover to the shaker jar if shaking.
  5. Shake cocktail for 15 seconds, or using the fat end of your bar spoon  stir the drink for 25 seconds 
  6. Remove the lid and slide the cover just enough to strain the drink over over ice. If stirred simply replace the cover to the jar just enough to strain the cocktail over ice
  7. Garnish with dehydrated lemon wheel

 

Rose Water Gin Fizz

Gin, rosewater, lemon, egg white, bubbles

What you will need to build this cocktail

  • Gin 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
  • Rose water simple pouch
  • Lemon pouch
  • Egg whites pouch
  • Shaker jar
  • Red solo cup measure
  • Can of soda
  • Dried roses

 

How to build your cocktail

  1. Empty mini bottle of gin, or measure 1.5 oz and add to the shaker jar
  2. Measure 1.0 oz. of lemon juice and add to the shaker jar
  3. Measure 1.0 oz of  rosewater simple syrup and add to the jar
  4. Measure 0.5 oz. of egg white and add to the jar
  5. Replace the cover to the jar and screw on the lid 
  6. Dry shake (no ice) all ingredients for as long as your arms can handle (the more you shake the better the froth)
  7. Unscrew the lid and remove the cover from the jar
  8. Add about 1/4 cup of ice to the shaker jar
  9. Shake for an additional 8-10 seconds
  10. Unscrew the lid from the jar and slide the cover off just enough to strain the cocktail into glassware of choice (we recommend serving this one on a little bit of ice in a tall glass if you have one)
  11. Once the drink has separated, open a can of soda and slowly add about 3-4 oz. you will see the foam rising to the top of the glass, try and get the foam so it is above the rim of the glass
  12. Garnish with 3 dried roses

 

Thyme Salty Dog

Gin, thyme, grapefruit, salt

What you will need to build this cocktail

  • Gin 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
  • Thyme-Grapefruit pouch
  • Shaker jar
  • Red solo cup measure
  • Ice for building and serving
  • 2 small plates (not provided)
  • Salt 
  • Candied grapefruit

 

How to build this cocktail

  1. Using 2 small plates from your kitchen, add 0.5oz water to one, then empty the bag of salt to the other
  2. Dip glassware of choice into the water on first plate, then into the salt on the second plate
  3. Fill rimmed glass with ice and set aside while you build your cocktail
  4. Add mini Gin bottle, or measure 1.5 oz and add to the shaker jar
  5. Measure 3.0 oz from the pouch marked Thyme-Grapefruit, and add to the shaker jar
  6. Add about 1/2 cup of ice to the shaker jar
  7. Replace the cover and screw the lid back onto the shaker jar
  8. Shake the cocktail for 10-12 seconds
  9. Unscrew the lid and slide the cover just enough to strain the cocktail into ice-filled salt-rimmed glass
  10. Garnish by placing the candied grapefruit on a garnish skewer and add to the cocktail


Rosemary Gimlet

Gin, rosemary, lime cordial

What you will need to build this cocktail

  • Gin 1.5 oz, or mini bottle
  • Rosemary lime pouch
  • Shaker Jar 
  • Red solo cup measure 
  • Ice for building 
  • Mini clothespin
  • Rosemary sprig 

 

How to build your Rosemary Gimlet

  1. Empty mini bottle, or measure 1.5 oz of gin and add to the shaker jar
  2. Measure 2.0 oz of the rosemary lime cordial and add to the shaker jar
  3. Add about 1/2 cup of ice to the shaker jar
  4. Replace the cover and screw on the lid to the shaker jar
  5. Shake for 10-12 seconds 
  6. Unscrew the lid from the jar and slide the cover off just enough to strain the cocktail into glassware of choice (we recommend serving this straight up, in a coupe style glass)
  7. Clip the rosemary sprig to the side of the glass using the mini clothespin
